“Hyena”即是鬣狗，一种普遍群体性觅食、依靠腐肉为生的动物。电影中的“Hyena”，伦敦警察迈克尔·兰度（Peter Ferdinando）领导着一只由马丁（Neil Maskell），凯斯（Tony Pitts）和克里斯（Gordon Brown）组成的四人小队。穿梭在底层伦敦各式各样的贩毒场所，他们最主要的“工作”是找到愿意合作的毒贩，从中获取非法利益。
