　　为了追寻被GPS定位的白鲸，大学女孩赛蒂（Camille Balsamo 饰）与罗妮尔（Giovonnie Samuels 饰）随同课题组教授史蒂芬（马特·温斯顿 Matt Winston 饰）来到北极圈附近。一行人登上了赛蒂的外公所拥有的捕蟹船预兆号，未过多久，这艘船便网到了一个奇怪物体。经初步探查发现，该物体居然是前苏联的月球探测器。教授喜出望外，意图将之据为己有。而外公可不是一个吃素的老头，他倔强地声称外孙女才拥有该物体的所有权，这令史蒂芬教授愤愤不平。在船员斯薇特（Milla Bjorn 饰）和瑞克的协助下，赛蒂偷偷检查了探测器及其内部的飞行员尸体。
