　　影片的故事灵感取自艾伦·坡的诗歌（诗人本尊也在电影中现身，由本·卓别林饰演）。伴随着Tom Waits的旁白，方·基默饰演的过气小说作家带到一座加利福尼亚的诡异小镇。随即被卷入一桩神秘的谋杀事件。在夜晚的梦中，有一个名叫V的年轻女鬼（艾丽·范宁）接近他。小说家不能确定谋杀案是否与年轻女子有关系，但是却感谢这场事件为他提供了故事素材。最终他找到了故事的真相，惊讶地发现结局超乎他想象地裹挟着自己的人生。

　　《此刻与日出之间》是科波拉第一部自己筹款拍摄的电影，成本只有700万美元，或许这也解释了影片为什么呈现出一种如此质感。再加上影片后期还要进行3D化的转制，多少让人有点担心，但愿科波拉不要为影片的低成本所负累。

　　影片将于9月多伦多电影节首映。具体公映日期还未确定。
