　　《心底的逆流》讲述秘鲁海边一位已婚的深柜男子在保守环境和挚爱男鬼间做出艰难抉择的超现实故事。原片名“Contracorriente”直译作“回头浪”，指浪花在前后阻力中折回、反向、汇聚、重叠冲击海岸的形态，暗喻主人公米古（Cristian Mercado 饰）和桑迪亚哥（Manolo Cardona 饰）之间一波三折的禁忌之爱。米古即将为人父，但悄爱着画家桑迪亚哥溺水而死的鬼魂。为能长相厮守，他藏匿了桑迪亚哥的尸体，却给自己的生活带来不能承受之重。最终米古对这段感情的放手令桑迪亚哥的灵魂得到了救赎。

　　本片获得2010年圣丹斯电影节的世界电影观众大奖（World Cinema Audience Award），并代表秘鲁角逐2011年奥斯卡最佳外语片奖。
