　　Fox原创电视电影《请说真话》（Truth Be Told）中，婚姻咨询师Annie Morgan总是对自己的客户说：诚实和真爱是保持稳定的男女关系的核心。具有讽刺意味的是，Annie一生未嫁，而且经常违背自己的「忠告」。当 Annie有机会与传媒大亨Alexander Bishop合作主持一档谈话节目，Annie决定抓住这个机会。

    由于工作人员的失误，Annie收到了一张邀请函：邀请她和她的「丈夫」去新墨西哥州的Bishop农场参观。Annie担心自己的「单身状态」会毁掉这个机会，只好劝大学同学Mark Crane假扮她的丈夫。Mark是个退役的橄榄球运动员，妻子最近刚刚去世。Mark的两个孩子也一同前往。
