　　詹姆斯．布里奇斯导演。女记者金伯利和摄影师亚当斯拍到加利福尼亚一家核电站控制室发生故障的情景，且发现这是个严重的事故——中国综合症。为了能把真情公诸于世，他们历经千辛万苦侥幸逃脱特工的暗杀，终于在电台作了揭露。本片把艺术与严肃的社会态度有机地结合在一起，但又让人感觉不到政治和社会含义的存在。它是一部第一流的情节片，也是一部现实主义影片。
