　　"在2007年2月的一个寒冷的夜晚，一位父亲开着车带着他两个孩子以及他怀孕的妻子出去散心，然而正当他们开心地享受着幸福美好的家庭时光，一辆车却毫无预兆地冲向了他们，这份美好在一瞬间化为泡影，而驾驶这辆汽车的是一个年仅17岁且满身酒气的少年，而这个家庭和这个少年的命运由此被彻底地改变了。父亲、怀孕的妻子以及他的两个孩子统统躺在地上，昏迷着，而那位醉酒司机也是醉醺醺地晕在车里。
　　过了一会，父亲克里斯·威廉稍稍清醒了，坐在他那辆几乎报废的车上，他回忆起了刚刚车祸的一瞬间，再看到被那辆突如其来的车撞死的妻子、他们未出生的孩子、他9岁大的女儿以及11岁大的儿子的时候，他变得异常冷静，没有抱怨，没有愤怒，没有恸哭，而是选择了宽恕。
