◎关于开膛手大街---你必须知道的二三事

      第一第二季的开膛手大街，聘请了5000名爱尔兰演员、工作人员和群众演员，并给爱尔兰带来了2千万欧元的经济收入。

      当BBC播完第二季后准备砍掉该剧时，网上力图挽救该剧的请愿书收集到了超过4万个签名。

      当2013年12月，在播出两季之后，BBC以该剧在英国收视率低为由宣布砍掉该剧。该剧制作方Tiger Aspect就开始和合并到Amazon实时视频的LOVEFilm谈判，以求其资助拍摄第三季。最终，双方达成协议，第三季在2014年五月开始拍摄，并在2014年11月14日起在英国亚玛逊实时视频网上播出。但第三季并没有在美国亚马逊实时视频网播出，反而是在2015年早段于BBC美洲以及7月在英国播出。

      剧中埃德蒙雷德警督的原型是现实生活中曾主管调查两起开膛手杰克案件的雷德警督。而雷德警督真实生活中的上司费德列克艾博兰的角色也原样出现在剧中出演埃德蒙雷德的上司。

      至少有12名出演过美剧《冰与火之歌：权力的游戏》的演员在开膛手大街中登场。主要有：杰罗姆费林（波隆/德雷克警长）、克里夫罗素（布兰登徒利/艾博兰总警督）、伊恩格伦（乔拉穆尔蒙/马多克福克纳）、迈克麦艾哈顿（卢斯波顿/门罗部长）、约瑟夫摩尔（班扬史塔克/夏恩警督）等等

      剧中大伦敦警察局伦敦东区H分局的原型被认为是至今存在的HT分局。它管辖范围覆盖伦敦哈姆莱茨区。莱曼街的办公点已关闭，分区总部现设立在位于维多利亚公园广场的贝纳斯格林警局内。
