　　故事紧接上季结尾，Colt和Abby、Heather陷入了复杂的三角爱情关系，他被迫面对新的现实。Abby的怀孕可能是这种关系的转折点，但是……Colt因犯下「重罪」被警察逮捕了！他能够顺利和Abby完婚吗？Rooster搬出了农场，试图和Mary过安稳的生活。Maggie和Beau离了婚，但还是要以朋友的身份相处，这对他们来说是个挑战。该剧的核心演员Danny Masterson因爆出性丑闻而被Netflix开除，他的角色（Rooster）只会在本季少数集中出现，以结束相关故事线。Netflix无意启用其他演员替代他，而是招募了Dax Shepard扮演一个新角色来填补空缺。Dax Shepard的角色名叫Luke Matthews，是个退伍老兵。他来到加里森，是因为他过去和铁河农场有某种关联。在见到Bennett一家人之后，他和Colt及其父亲Beau很快成了朋友。但是Luke的过去并不光彩，不堪回首的往事很快会让他付出代价。这个角色在第三季上半部分（全剧第五部分）全部10集中至少演出5集。第三季下半部分今年晚些时候播出。
